Create your own app

What do you wish
your phone could do?

Paste the prompt into ChatGPT, Claude or another AI that can build websites. It will ask what you want to make. No idea yet? Start with a weekly planner.

  1. Paste and describe. “Help me make a simple weekly planner.”
  2. Try the first version. Ask for changes in plain language.
  3. Get a working website link. Your AI helps with the publishing options available to you.
  4. Add it to your phone. Follow the steps below.

The complete prompt is included. No template download or upload is needed. Building and hosting options depend on your AI app and plan.

No idea yet?

Start with your week.

A weekly planner is a useful first app: days of the week, editable tasks and checkboxes. Add what you need as you use it.

Make it yours

“Add a priorities section.” “Make the text bigger.” “Let me move a task to another day.” Tell the AI what would help.

iPhone + Safari: add it to your Home Screen

First open your finished website link in Safari. Tap Share → Add to Home Screen, turn on Open as Web App if shown, then tap Add. In Safari’s Compact layout, open Page Menu → Share first. If the option is missing, check Edit Actions in the share sheet.

Does it work in Google Chrome?

iPhone: open the finished website in Chrome, tap Share beside the address bar, then Add to Home Screen → Add.

Android: open the finished website in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, then Install and create shortcut. Choose Install for an installable web app or Create shortcut for a website shortcut. Some versions show Add to Home screen.

How do I get the website link?

Ask your AI to build and publish a website using the tools available in your account. ChatGPT Sites can host a website when available. Claude’s artifact-sharing options depend on your plan and may require viewers to sign in. The prompt asks your AI to explain the actual options, provide complete source if hosting is unavailable, and check the link before calling it ready.

Can I share it with my partner or friends?

Yes, once the website’s access settings allow them to open it. Send the working link; they can add their own Home Screen icon. An app that saves data on your device does not automatically sync it with someone else’s. Tell your AI if you need a shared list.

Read or manually copy the complete prompt

Copy everything below into one AI conversation, and answer its first question. It will suggest a weekly planner if you need an idea.

Help me create a simple website that works like a personal app, then add it to my phone’s Home Screen. Start by asking what I’d like the app to do. If I don’t have an idea, suggest a simple weekly planner with days, editable tasks and checkboxes. Keep your replies short and guide me one step at a time. Build a working, mobile-friendly first version using the tools available here. Keep it simple, with a clear name, a matching app icon and easy-to-tap controls. Save my entries between visits when possible, and briefly explain where they’re saved. Let me try it and ask for changes. Help me get a working website link I can open on my phone and share. If you can’t publish it directly, explain the easiest available next step. Don’t invent a link or claim it’s live before checking it. Tell me if sharing requires a login or paid plan. Then ask whether I use iPhone or Android and which browser. Walk me through the actual steps for my device, one at a time: open the finished website link, use Share or the browser menu, and choose Add to Home Screen or Install. On iPhone, if “Open as Web App” appears, turn it on before tapping Add. Adapt if my menu looks different. Finish by helping me open the new icon and check that the app works. Explain briefly that sharing the link doesn’t automatically sync everyone’s entries.
